We work with clients early in the process, learning about the site, the goals, and the budget. From there, we develop and refine clear garden plans—testing layouts, materials, and planting ideas until the direction feels right. We then guide installation, staying involved to clarify details and support the work as the garden takes shape, whether built all at once or over time with a contractor of the client’s choosing.
Denise Johns is a California licensed Landscape Architect (License #4619) with a Bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley and a Master of Landscape Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona. Time spent living in Paris, Santa Barbara County, and rural Western Washington continues to influence her practical, site-responsive approach. She is a member of ASLA and the Landscape Architects Technical Committee.
